Case 1: I cannot see my take profit or stop loss
Symptom You expect an exit order to be active, but you do not see it clearly. Possible cause- the exit was not added yet
- the order is linked to the position but you are checking the wrong tab
- the exit setup was replaced during a later update
- Open Positions and check the TP / SL column.
- Open Orders and see whether the active exit order is listed there.
- Review whether the position was opened with exit instructions in the first place.
- if nothing is active, add the exit from Positions
- if the setup was recently changed, confirm that the latest version is the one now active
Case 2: I am trying to edit TP or SL from Orders
Symptom You are looking in Orders, but cannot find the right way to edit the exit setup. Possible cause- in Entry Finance, exit logic is managed from Positions, not from Orders
- Open Positions for the live trade.
- Find the TP / SL controls for that position.
- use Orders to monitor or cancel active exit orders
- use Positions to add, update, or replace Take Profit and Stop Loss
Case 3: The stop-loss or take-profit closes the wrong size
Symptom The exit closes only part of the trade, or more or less size than you expected. Possible cause- Entire position was disabled
- the exit was created for only part of the position
- the position size changed after a partial close, but the exit setup was not reviewed again
- Check whether Entire position was enabled when the exit was created.
- Open Positions and review the current position size.
- Compare that size with the active exit setup.
- update the exit if the wrong size was selected
- after any partial close, re-check the remaining TP / SL structure
- review How to manage TP/SL if you are scaling out in stages
Case 4: The breakeven action is unavailable
Symptom The breakeven action is visible but cannot be used. Possible cause- the position is not yet profitable
- Check the current unrealized PnL.
- Confirm whether the position is actually in profit.
- wait until the position is profitable enough for breakeven to become available
- if needed, continue managing risk with the normal stop-loss flow
Case 5: The old stop-loss disappeared after I placed breakeven
Symptom You placed breakeven and the previous stop-loss is no longer there. Possible cause- this is expected behavior in Entry Finance
- breakeven replaces the existing stop-loss structure rather than adding a second stop
- Open Positions and review the current TP / SL state.
- Open Orders and confirm the new breakeven stop is active.
- treat breakeven as a stop replacement event
- confirm the new stop is at the intended level before leaving the trade unattended
Case 6: The stop-loss triggered, but the result is different from entry
Symptom The protective exit worked, but the final result is not exactly flat or matches entry less closely than expected. Possible cause- Include Fees was not enabled in breakeven
- market execution introduced slippage
- trading fees changed the all-in result
- Check whether Include Fees was enabled.
- Review the order type used for the stop.
- Review the final fills and fees in trade history if needed.
- expect small differences when fees or market execution are involved
- use fee-aware breakeven when the goal is to protect the all-in result more closely
