Case 1: The balance is visible, but not in the expected place
Symptom The funds are in the account, but not on the side you expected. Possible cause- the funds are in Spot instead of Perpetuals, or the other way around
- deposits were credited to USDC (Perps) by default
- Open Portfolio and check both Spot and Perpetuals.
- Confirm where the balance is currently assigned.
- use Transfer if the funds are on the wrong side for the workflow you want
Case 2: Total account value is visible, but available balance is lower
Symptom The account looks funded, but the amount you can actually use is smaller. Possible cause- open orders are reserving funds
- open positions are using margin
- under Cross, unrealized PnL is changing what is currently available
- Check whether open orders are reserving funds.
- Check whether open positions are using part of the balance as margin.
- Compare total account value with the current Available amount shown in the trade or withdrawal flow.
- use Available as the practical number for action
- cancel unused orders or reduce exposure if you need to free funds
Case 3: The position seems to be missing
Symptom You expected a live position, but do not see it in Positions. Possible cause- the order has not filled yet
- the order filled only partially
- the position was already closed
- Open Orders first.
- If the order has not filled yet, it will remain in Orders.
- If the order was filled, then check Positions.
- If the position is no longer open, review Trade History.
- wait, edit, or cancel the order if it is still active
- review trade history if the trade already completed
Case 4: PnL changes even though position size did not change
Symptom The position size is stable, but the running result keeps moving. Possible cause- unrealized PnL is changing with market price
- funding affected the perp position
- mark price moved even if the chart looked stable
- Check the position row and current unrealized PnL.
- Check Funding History for perp positions.
- Review PnL, entry price, mark price if the numbers look unfamiliar.
- separate price-driven PnL from funding-related changes
- review funding before assuming the number is wrong
Case 5: Funds were moved, but the old balance still appears
Symptom You completed a transfer, but the previous balance view still seems visible. Possible cause- the page has not refreshed the latest account state yet
- the transfer may have been submitted from the wrong source
- Refresh the page and reopen Portfolio.
- Re-check both Spot and Perpetuals.
- Confirm that the transfer was submitted from the intended source balance.
- if the transfer is visible after refresh, continue as normal
- if the state still looks wrong, capture screenshots and continue troubleshooting or contact support
